Live Laugh Love

I've seen different versions of the flower pot card and decided to make my own. I cut a sheet of 8 1/2 x 1 1 cardstock in half longways. I eyeballed the scored line at the top to make the rim (about an inch). I then folded the card in half and creased the bottom with my bone folder. I inked the edges of the pot and rim using a sponge. There are foam squares under the rim of the pot for dimension. I added adhesive to the inside of the card in each corner and a thin line along the sides. This will keep the card closed. You have to leave enough room for the insert to slide up and down smoothly. That is where you will be writing a note or stamping your greeting.
I cut out several stamped flowers and made some green leaves. They are adhered in a random pattern on the cardstock insert that pulls up, some with one or two dimensionals for height variation. This card will have to be sent in a larger envelope as it is bigger than the standard A-2 size.
I will definitely make more of these, but this one took me a while since I couldn't decide colors or the correct number of flowers vs. leaves. LOL! I am happy with the end result, though. I think I know who will get this one. *wink*
Thursday night I went to a breathing/stretching class at the Y. I will go back. It was very relaxing and got blood moving to my very neglected muscles. :) Then, Daddy came over to help us put in the big window a/c since the temps/humidity are going to soar this weekend. Ahhhh! Friday night we have an ice cream date with our neighbor Wanda. This time we are going to the little red barn at the park for a treat. Saturday is yet another wedding and Sunday is Father's Day. I'll be busy the next few days, but I will try to post the other projects I've created. Thanks for stopping by!
