Made this card at Holly's last Card Day. She always shares the neatest ideas. My sister loves this saying so it totally reminded me of her. :) I love this new little flower punch and how we put the tiny bling stones in the center. I love little details like that!Monday, July 5, 2010
Live Laugh & Love
Made this card at Holly's last Card Day. She always shares the neatest ideas. My sister loves this saying so it totally reminded me of her. :) I love this new little flower punch and how we put the tiny bling stones in the center. I love little details like that!Backyard Bandits
This is what ornery looks like. If you ever have one of these at your house, beware. It will bite, chase, whine and catch dead things in the yard. It usually comes with a quiet, yet cunning accomplice. To read about the latest Backyard Bandit adventure, scroll down. Warning....it's not for the faint of heart. LOL!
Yep, it's a dead baby mole. Got it right out of Riley's mouth. EWWW!! But if you look closely, he really is just a cute tiny creature. He has no eyes, and long sharp fingernails. Who can resist that little snout with the whiskers? I know, you can. But, I still had to show you what icky stuff these two dogs are getting into lately. EWWW! At first, I thought it was a mouse. EEEKKKK!
Once I confiscated the plaything, they went right back to that spot. Weirdos!
This is a happy little baby under the hostas. He has about four more siblings hanging out with him. I couldn't figure out why Riley wouldn't leave the hostas alone. He could SMELL the babies! Now it's a constant battle to keep him out of this flowerbed behind the garage. I have to tell you that he got this bunny, but I grabbed Riley's neck and told him NOOOOOO! He dropped it after it squealed for mercy and ran through the fence. Thank goodness Kevin found him later and put him back in the hostas. BAD RILEY!!! I thought I was going to be burying a baby bunny for sure. He is ruthless! I'm not sure if it's the "kill" he's after or the adventure of catching something in general. Either way, I just know it's going to be a LONG summer keeping him away from these adorable babies. :(Friday, July 2, 2010
Hooray!
Some may call it boring. Some may call it simple. Some may even call it a cop out....but, I needed a card FAST, so I came up with this in a hurry. It's a simple white card with a dimensional word and a few quick punches. I know...boring.
At 5pm today, I will officially be on vacation! Nope, not going to the beach or Disney World or a foreign country. I'll be right here on Smith Road doing whatever my heart desires, plus a LOT of projects around the house. I'll probably need a vacation from my vacation. First on my list...SLEEPING IN UNTIL WHENEVER AND STAYING UP AS LATE AS I WANT. WOO HOO!Thursday, July 1, 2010
FORE!
I made this card tonight to send to Kevin's brother-in-law. He's a golf nut, so I hope he likes this. :) I used some new items to create this card. Notice the Lots of Tags Sizzlits die for the focal point. I die cut two of them and simply cut the bottom one in half to adhere under the top one. It's a neat way to "mat" your die cut shapes. Also, I used the new Square Lattice embossing folder. Both of those products are from Stampin' Up!. I got my new catalog Sunday and boy oh boy....lots of great things in there! The catalog is wonderful for the ideas alone. Wow! Stampin' Up! never fails to amaze me. :)

Happy
...Forgive the poor photography. I took several pictures in a hurry. Hope you can see the details: hand-stitching on the big heart, paper piercing in each corner of the page, etc. Click the picture for a closer look. The journaling says: "A quiet little girl with such a sweet smile. Always happy because I knew I was loved. Natalie" Once I figure out when the picture was taken, I will add a date. I am blessed to have very loving parents who never made me feel less than adored! That's part of the reason I am a happy person today! Love you, mom and dad! :)

Bravo Burgundy Celebrate
The base cardstock is one of SU!'s retiring(NOT!) colors, Bravo Burgundy. I mixed it with patterned paper from Basic Grey. I love this color combo. One of my favorite processes in creating is finding items in my stash that work wonderfully together. My bad....I thought it was retiring....Bravo Burgundy lives on! hee hee

Glittery Happy Birthday
I took pictures of 19 different projects to share with all of you. I will slowly get them uploaded and on here. This is a birthday card I made this past week. The journaling card is from My Minds Eye, the card is from a pack at JoAnn's, the edge punch is from EK Success, stamps by SU! and the butterfly and glittery paper is also from JoAnn's. I can't remember brands on those items. Click either pic for a closer look. I loved how this one turned out. It is so soft and serene in person. Thanks for stopping by!
